I made several purchases with no problem and then with another merchant, drugstore.com, the sale was not recorded! And that was that. By email, kept being told that there was no record of the sale and in the future to make sure that my computer accepts cookies but that is NOT the problem. NO room to address the problem....

However, I made my purchase and did not get any cashback. Made a second purchase of these filters recently along with some other items that have coupons on the site and were automatically used. Really think I should get cashback for both sales and that this situation should be more thoroughly explored. After two bad experiences, I can't use the cashback program with confidence.
When I contact drugstore.com, they say can't do anything and should contact bing. Very frustrating.
I know that you can't apply coupon codes to site and get cashback but this set up with drugstore.com is very misleading.
And I've seen a lot online about other people online having problems and no way to get someone from Microsoft to take the time to help.
My suggestions:
Set up a screen that appears in the process that can be copied, current one showing cashback you will get cannot be copied. Then user can present that screen as proof. This should also help with investigating what went wrong. Perhaps it is on the sellers end and they can be held responsible for it and take steps to figure out what went wrong and how it can be fixed. If coupons on a site that are automatically taken off cancel out cashback, clarify that in your FAQs etc.
If drugstore.com's sales cancel out cashback then modify cashback results screen so viewer not mislead.
Make it easier for people to get help and verification that they abided by the rules and have proof that they should get bing cashback. Unhappy customers will turn to other rebate sites that provide more consistent results.
Force all stores to show the percentage off, like ebay so that customers know that their sale will be recorded and sent to them. This image could easily be printed by the customer. Maybe once the the customer goes to the cart, show the image again and again on the final receipt. Yes, it means abit more work for the site, but you would have more satisfied customers.
