11th April, 2009: Sensitization workshop with PLUS, Kolkata on "Gender Diversity"

3 May, 2009: In house workshop on CSA awareness

(with special thanks to Pooja Taparia (ARPAN, Mumbai) Vipin T, Nancy (TULIR, Chennai) and Lois Englebrecht (founder of the Centre for the Prevention and Treatment of Child Sexual Abuse in the Philippines, Malaysia and Vietnam)

4 May 2009: Sensitization workshop with SWAYAM, Kolkata on Domestic Violence.

June 2009: Project OBO funded by Rotary Club, Inner City.

OBO will be working with Swayam, Kolkata with members of their child support group.

July 2009: Curriculum building with Anjali, Kolkata.

Bridge International School and Queen of the Missions School successfully approached for workshops.

OBO shorlisted for the Changelooms award which recognizes projects of potential...this is by a Delhi organization called Pravah. Since the project is in its nascent stage we couldn't make it all the way but have been asked to apply next year as well.

Shuktara Lal is a Performance Studies student from NYU working on rehabilitative dance/movement therapy with survivors of violence in Kolkata. She has come on board and is training us for the workshop which will involve movement and theatre as an agent of change.

For the exhibitions in October we will need like minded, enthusiastic volunteers.

23 August 2009 - The first OBO open workshop held at the Lake Gardens People's Association, with 12 participants in the age range of 14-18.

29 Aug 2009- The second OBO open workshop held at Lake Garden People's Association with 9 participants in the age group of 14-19

13 September 2009 - A follow up workshop for a group of participants from the first two open workshops on Child Sexual Abuse awareness and dealing with disclosure.

18 September 2009 - A follow up workshop for a group of participants from the first two open workshops, on Eve
Teasing/Self Defence with Ms. Ayesha Sinha

19 September 2009- The third OBO open workshop held at Lake Garden People's Association with 9 new participants in the age group of 14-19 and 2 from the first and second open workshops who assisted the facilitation team.

4th Oct 2009- OBO's CSA awareness workshop with participants from the second and third open workshops. Held at LPA. Duration: 4 hours.

10th Oct 2009 - OBO's Sexual Identity workshop with 11 participants from the first three open workshops. Held at LPA. Duration: 6 hours.
